Liz
Nominated by Pasia GadsonMy mom should be nominated because she is one of the most caring and helpful parents ever. Now I know that alot of people probrably say that, but its true my mom is a single parent of three and works full time sometimes more, but she always has time for us. I think a great parent is someone who is a friend and also a parent. My mom is the type of woman that you can tell anything to and she will always make u feel better. When I was growing up it was hard , but I knew if I could tell her what was wrong it would make everything better. She gives us everything and usually gets nothing for herself, but that doesnt matter to her as long as we are happy. Well I think I am coming up on 100 words, but that is why I feel my Mother Liz Gadson should be nominated. Thank You
Maria Gauthier
Nominated by KarahI think my sister should be nominated because she had her very frist kid in march of 2004 she is a hard worker and she work full time and is going back to school she is taking classes online. I would like to nominate my sister.
Pamela Wilcox
Nominated by Shannon Dunne-GambleMy Friend Pamela deserves this award since she has recently been faced with a very challenging parenting issue and is tackling it head on. She has shown such strength and determination never losing sight of what really matters. She is a devoted wife, loving mother, and a steadfast friend. She is a wonderful role model for her daughters and all of us moms' who know her.
suzanne royster
Nominated by stacey huntingtonI admire Suzanne. She's a Glamorous Woman, a Devoted and Dotting Mother and an unbelivably amazing Domestic Godess. There has never been a moment in our friendship that she has not made me feel special. She will turn my smallest accomplishment into a reason to celebrate with a glass of wine. She loves my kids as if they are her niece and nephew. I'd really like her to know that although her "real" family is living Down Under, she is, and will always be, my Family.
Dads of the Year
Akoni Ganir
Nominated by Kimberly GanirMy husband is the best dad ever. One example is that he wakes up at 4am to get to work, gets home at 3, which is when I leave to go to work, and when I get home at 9 he has the kids fed, bathed and in bed asleep. He doesn't complain and I know it is very tough for him and that he is VERY TIRED!!
Brian Doan
Nominated by Lindsy UngBrian is an excellent father. He works full time for CSUMB and is still able to come home everyday to take the children off of my hands while I take a break. He understands how exhausted I am, being a stay home mom. So, he's the one that wakes up during the night to care for our newborn baby. I had my 2nd c-section two months ago and he has done so much to show me how much he appreciated me and the job that I've done. He massages me to calm me down and he takes the children out to give me sometime to myself. My 1 1/2 year old son LOVES his dad and loves the fact that he spends time with him despite the fact that he has a full-time job and a part-time job and I couldn't survive without him.

Jeff Nale
Nominated by Jeannine NaleJeff is an incredible dad. He works long hours in his job, but when he is home, he is all about the kids. He loves to play catch with our twins, and he enjoys reading books to our daughter. Jeff is also a really good person. We love him!
Paul and Ellen Gaucher
Nominated by Priya SethiI cannot nominate one, without nominating the other. Paul and Ellen Gaucher are what every parent should be. They are my friends, and each time I am with them, I am in awe of their parenting. I watch them with their two boys, and I learn something every time I watch them. They show a deep and loving commitment to their children, in every thought and action. Most of all, in this great race we live, from day to day, they give their boys the most important gift, their time. They are active and I believe, founding members of The International School of Monterey. They have created something great not only for their children, but for many more children to come. Whether its Pauls commitment to the school, or his Easter Bunny voice on the answering machine, or Ellen's wonderful baked treats for students, or her commitment to any relation she has, these little things make them wonderful examples for their children...and all of us...these Parents have what it takes... Ellen' greeting whenever I see her is " be well"...what a wonderful thing to teach your kids... These are parents that have their hearts, and minds in the right place, and they will raise two kids who will contribute very positively in this world today... Priya Sethi
Steve Roth
Nominated by DaniMy husband oftentimes works over 168 hours during each pay-period. With two energetic boys, ages 2 and 5, he plays, reads, bathes, guides them tirelessly every moment he's home. He takes time for his stepson currently attending U.C.S.C., fostering their common interests. He constantly asks what he can do to make my day's easier! He requests NOTHING from anyone yet gives & gives, without fail. Topped off with the fact he tells us all we are the fuel that keeps him going when not home! Did I mention he’s also a committed volunteer firefighter as well? He's fabulous & deserving!
Tracy Pendergrass
Nominated by Julieth EricksonTracy is been there since for me and the kids. Both of our kids had had major surgery. He was the rock that keep me from falling down. In 2003 when our son David got really sick at only 2 weeks old. He was there for me, David later got surgery at age 1 to fix his Kidney Ruflex. If it wasn't for my husband help and support, I could have gone mad. Thank Trace.
Vatche Markarian
Nominated by Mary MarkarianMy Dad is not like any other dad. He is a best friend, rock god, a master griller, and a campfire story telling thriller. He has always palyed with me when I needed a friend. He has always given me hope when I feel that all has been lost. He has always encouraged me when I felt that I had nothing left to give. He has come to countless cheerleading events and choir preformances and has never poopooed any of my dreams, nomatter how outragous they may be! He has dedicated his life to making mine as wonderful as possible. He is the funniest, most loving person I know and the best part is that he is my Dad and I dont have to be jelous of anyone else.
